THERE is a new business in town set to rival other NBN service providers in the area.
Vastnet has joined Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise, establishing themselves at 6 Ann St.
Vastnet CEO and co-founder David Stevens said he was looking forward to delivering ultra-fast, world-class internet and voice services to all types of Toowoomba enterprises.
"Vastnet NBN in Toowoomba is powered by TasmaNet and we've been working to deliver business grade NBN to Toowoomba and surrounds since last year," he said.
"Our services will go live by July 1 this year but we are already very busy taking orders now."
Mr Stevens said his company was able to service a range of clients, from CBD businesses to farming operations.
"The partnership with TasmaNet is about to pay off and we are committed to providing clever and cost effective solutions to Toowoomba and the wider region via smart systems," he said.
"We are very excited to invest in the local community and partner with TSBE as an original tenant in their impressive state-of the-art new business hub."
Mr Stevens said after exploring the Toowoomba opportunities it had become clear that many businesses were unhappy with their internet, NBN and voice services.
"We see ourselves filling a hole in the market and offering an alternative to other services that haven't hit the mark for businesses across the Darling Downs."
"By tailoring our product to meet the customer demand we are able to provide individualised services that work in all conditions."
Mr Stevens said Toowoomba was the perfect market to develop as it represented strong growth and business activity, bucking the trend seen in other regional areas.
