TOOWOOMBA has a new business in town set to rival other NBN service providers in the area.
Vastnet has joined Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise as a Gold member, establishing themselves out of the Knights building at 6 Ann St.
CEO and co-founder of Vastnet David Stevens visited Toowoomba last week to explore what was possible across the wider region.
Mr Stevens said he was looking forward to delivering ultra-fast, world-class internet and voice services to all types of Toowoomba enterprises with Vastnet.
“Vastnet business NBN in Toowoomba is powered by TasmaNet, and we’ve been working to deliver business grade NBN to Toowoomba and surrounds since last year,” Mr Stevens said.
“Vastnet services go live by July 1, 2017 but we are already very busy taking orders now in readiness for our go live date.”
With the move to the Knights building now also complete for TSBE, a new serviced co-working arrangement has been set-up to encourage businesses to the region that are seeking expansion or a permanent presence here.
TSBE executive chairman Shane Charles said the co-working space, known as The Branch, was available with casual or permanent leasing options.
“TSBE works to drive investment and businesses to the region, and one way to attract and retain companies here is to offer them a place to work from. We have 11 serviced spaces on offer in the prime CBD location,” Mr Charles said.
As part of the site, that includes Milk and Honey Espresso Bar, a board room and a range of meeting areas is also available.
Mr Stevens said Vastnet was able to service a range of clients, from CBD businesses to farming operations.
“The partnership with TasmaNet is about to pay-off and we are committed to providing clever and cost effective solutions to Toowoomba and the wider region via smart systems,” he said.
“We are very excited to invest in the local community and partner with TSBE as an original tenant in their impressive state-of the-art new business hub.”
Mr Stevens said after exploring the Toowoomba opportunities it had become clear that many businesses were unhappy with their internet, NBN and voice services.
“We see ourselves filling a hole in the market and offering an alternative to other services that haven’t hit the mark for businesses across the Darling Downs.”
“By tailoring our product to meet the customer demand we are able to provide individualised services that work in all conditions.”
Mr Stevens said Toowoomba was the perfect market to develop as it represented strong growth and business activity, bucking the trend seen in other regional areas.
